Hi Wendy:
There seems to be many applications of Tao Arts, for me a key is to realize what we are, our Yuan Shen, our original spirit. Our essential nature is pure awareness, pure spirit. When you are not thinking, what are are aware of is your true nature, it is the Tao. It is always with us, its up to us to focus on it, and not give our Qi,…[Read more]

There is only awkening, not true or false.
If your “awakening” is something that is in the future, over there or back there, something that might happen, could happen or has the potential to happen then your Yi/Mindufullness is off in some far away place, just come back to the here and now and make love and be in union to that part of you that…[Read more]

Emptiness is just a word used to explain awareness or consciousnees, empty of preconceived ideas, emotions, etc. You do all the qi gong and nei gong to allow the state to manifest, to unfold in your life, to put yourself in this space. To us who practice this we know what Emptiness is, maybe another word would be better, but no matter what word is…[Read more]

there is many types of Qi and they have differnt cycles or duration. Wei Qi and Ying/Food Qi flows in cycles of 24-years, you can do qi gong and build qi which can prevent from using wei and ying qi, but if you exercise and push yourself it burns out, lifestyle tells alot about how you manage this Qi. Jing is longer cycles to influence, ateast…[Read more]

Yes I agree. Lao Zi acknowleades Yin and Yang but suggests we dont be attached to their changing nature, dont try to stop the natural flows of life, retain a neutral, yuan or empty state to enjoy the dynamic nature of life.

I suggest you follow the original post, this aggressive view stems from the late tang, which politically was a time where they tried to destroy buddhism. The polarizing view of the author, such firery words, seems to stem from that time frame. Very attached to that time and view, not highly evolved way of communication.
Its not a debate whether…[Read more]

My point is during the Late Tang Dynasty the emperor used his resouces to destroy buddhism, until that time taoism, buddhism and confucism all went through cycles of being supported and not supported by emperors/government, so it is not suprising to see his view at this time frame. Those with such a strong attachment to tao alchemy will never see…[Read more]

Qi Gong should be done as a comprehensive system, working on the basics for a long time to open channels, stengthen the body and build and refine Qi, Jing and Shen. If one does a concentrated practice like PP, it can overstimulate the organs, glands, Qi, and any illness or pathogens, damp, heat, phlegm, fire and move it through the body.

Hello Michael:
In the late Tang the emperior and his people tried to destroy buddhist in china, this is common knowledge, destroying temples, monks, etc. seems like this follower is just folliowing the party line of the time frame.

Hello Michael:
I agree with you and thanks for sharing this very insighful and clear understanding.
I offer something to ponder. It seems to me Taoists are about understanding their true nature, the cultivation we do is for us to realize this and it is a process in the sense we have to go from where we are now to being able to realize and…[Read more]

Hello Michael:
Happy Solstice.
The Collective is not a choice, it is not something over there or over here, it is only illusion that created this false belief that we are separate, we our always part of the collective, knowing this much of human made pain and suffering is disolved as we know our Yuan Shen. I will let others answer this.
But Michael and M. Chia offer audio courses, why not get them and listen to them and find our for youself, considering its a practice you will do for years, maybe a lifetime the cost is minimal.
BTW, most every teacher will change ro modify their teachings over the years to make them clearer.

Well, my point was you are not accurately summing up what I say, in a way you have no opinion on this. Its a common things for some on this site.
But as Michael mentioned I do think through this dialogue your (and others) views are more clearly articulated, and that is a good thing.
