I mean buddhism, hinduism, etc.
The realization of one’s true nature I beleive is the same, the path or method may differ.
Even in Tao alchemy there are a wide range of methods, some just go to each of the energy centers, lower, middle and upper jiao and just focus there mind there, no mixing of planets, stars, etc. To me these are as…[Read more]

hi fajin:
Thanks for sharing the info on Zhang’s methods and WuDan methods, I appreciate it. The way you practice is how I primarly practice, even though i learn what all our doing and do differnt methods to experience it directly, it takes the mystery out of it too.
I started with Tao then Zen, in my teens. For some reason I have an open…[Read more]

study the begins of confucianism, you will find it was the same as tao, only later was it twisted for the emperor and his leaders to control people.
tao was twisted too. On this list people to to pick the best of taoism, wish they would do the same for others traditons too.

hi fajin:
Below I quote you.
“I draw my conclusion from what Zhang, Sanfeng believed. That Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism are all different routes heading towards the same goal. I like using both Buddhism and Daoism to get there. For me, they are one.”
Can you share how Zhang, San Feng used buddhism, what principles, theories and…[Read more]

Hello NN:
My feedback to you.
1. You say that to become enlightened is to give up the self. You also say that both Buddha and Lao-tzu were so enlightened. Therefore neither has any longer any ‘self’. What then is the difference between them?

Because Qi Gong is also for health and vitality, strenghtens the body and is healing, which is a major flaw in sitting only, regardless of the tradition. I think these should go hand in hand for a healthly life.
I always seek to find the most effecient and effective qi gong method, too many are not for regular people, to long and to complex,…[Read more]

Hi fajin:
Thanks for the info on the tai ji, i decided to go for one day to check it out and you were right.
Reincarnation? The truth is i dont know for sure. The longer I live the clearer it is there is some past influence in our lives, not just our parents. Tao traditon seems to have more than one view on these things, for example, some…[Read more]

False veil is the intellect categoring all things based on its socialized view, the intellect is one tool, not the most meaningful one. Consider the role the intellect plays with experiencing love.

Hi:
This statement you wrote:
“From my understanding, Chan and buddhism in general refers to the “impermanent” nature of things, as a way of saying that (material) things come into existance and then pass back into the undifferentiated void.”
To me this is the same things as Lao Zi presents about the changing nature of things, accept the…[Read more]

Hi Fajin:
The Wu Dan master is in USA this weekend. So you are saying there is nothing unique about the Wu Dan 28-tai ji form for Qi circulation and cultivation, that other forms and qi gong do what it does or more?
thanks,

I dont understand this question, can you reword it?
“It is all to do with what you think the point is of being alive here and now in a human body. Can you answer that one? Don’t think about doctrines and sutras, just answer”

If you say we are not immortal you draw a distinction between you and your true self. We have enternal energy or spiritual energy, this makes us eternal. We have the capacity to attach to things/etc. which takes us into different Qi fields of delusion.
We cannot go from not-eternal to eternal, this is just thinking.
We can go from…[Read more]

The fuss may come from an intellectual and emotional attached to a specfic method one is invested in, an intense attachement to a method and grapsing a theory that differentiates other methods. Just my feeling.

Many Healing Tao practioners and instructors also study buddhism, quite a few are senior teachers, any thoughts as why Tao Alchemy is not fullfilling or complete enough for your fellow tao sisters and brothers?
