>>”If you look at it from a single point of you, it’s polarized, but if you take all of it as a mass, it’s in harmony.”
I look at it as both, and deal with it on both levels.

So imbalances do not exist? What about your concept of karma and emotional attachment, is that not an imbalance in your cosmology?

Through experience of being faced daily with imbalances, and having the choice to actively balance them or passivley let them be.

It is interesting to note that people who have witnessed unspeakable atrocities such as genocide, or lived through terrible hardship can love life and have a more positive outlook than those who take it for granted living amidst material abundance.
I do also believe that whatever fixed thought patterns that people create for themselves will…[Read more]

“To shape implies using intention and will to actively create yin-yang balance in relation to the life force, to merge or attune implies actively releasing will and intention to harmonize with whatever yin-yang imbalance is present in the life force.”
each achieves a different result.

Greetings Plato,
You may be surprised to see how resilient people in third world countries are in spirit, despite genocide and suffering from disease, poverty etc. They make personal choices every moment how to deal with it. Obviously they also deal with a great amount of pain, probobly more than you have ever inflicted on yourself in all…[Read more]

Plato and max,
You should always add that these are of course YOUR OWN OPINIONS. Especially the “Life is suffering with no resolution save death” part, you sho’nuff don’t speak for me. I AM finding resolution and completion.
Live your own life of suffering if that is your choice.

I think it would be helpful at this point to look at the exact chinese word that is used, and what the meaning is. It is highly probable that if one is using the term xu or wu, that it is the formless state that is being referred to, the energy body, or the feeling of qi flow, not necessarily the complete absence of everything that emptiness…[Read more]

You have proved what your point is to you, yes.
How can you say something has intelligence but does not have spirit, or has qi but does not have shen, or has jing but does not have shen? From a Daoist point of view, if something has physical form, it also has a formless aspect that it is simultaneously birthing from and returning to in each…[Read more]

happy disagreements,
According to classical chinese medicine texts all of the vital organ shen have “de”, or a virtue quality.
The intelligence of the kidney is zhi, or will.
The intelligence of the heart is shen, or spirit.
The intelligence of the liver is hun, the evolutionary manifestation into spirit that wants to connect jing and…[Read more] -

From my understanding and practice, the kidney – heart relationship is yin and yang. Yuan jing, qi and shen arises from the relationship of those two.

People are given the freedom to choose their actions, and have to navigate their path of completion. Some can handle it, and others have a very difficult time. Heaven and Earth are in harmony, but they are in a polarized relationship otherwise why would we bother to make the distinction between HEAVEN and EARTH? We would just call it THE FORMLESS. Because of the fact that there is a distinction, it does not mean they ultimately are not in harmony. But because there is a distinction, we DISTINGUISH…[Read more]
