Ba,
Essentially what I get from what you are saying is that alchemists become a slave to their path, and the path does not allow any deviation. I think this is a very narrow interpretation.
The purpose of inner alchemy is to refine the yuan jing here in the physical plane (read as; neutral force in a substantial permanent state). But, you…[Read more]

Fa,
I think your argument is a good one except that in order for the Wu Ji to manifest jing qi and shen, wouldn’t it have to contain Jing in a latent or neutral form to begin with and have that present at all levels?
In other words, the Wu Ji contains Yuan jing, yuan qi and yuan shen, as does early and later heaven, except the yin-yang jing…[Read more]

Would it be accurate to say that a human entity is composed of 1) the connection to the primordial yuan qi (original self or collective self), 2) a yin-yang-yuan trinity (the male-female-androgynous split on a deep level), 3) the pure virtue qualities of the five elements (the “positive ego”, the pure unconditioned self as the expression of each…[Read more]

It was a joke; the only way to really find out is to practice the different methods and observe their effects. You are of course free to find the most effective method.

Good question about whether I would have had the same experience sitting in padmasana; unfortunately I don’t know the answer to that one because I have not tried it extensively.
I feel that absorbing earth qi into the huiyin is somewhat raw and unrefined.
The real danger lies in the fact that when you are in padmasana and start levitating,…[Read more]

How about the cosmic sex between earth and heaven? I prefer sitting with my feet on the ground, seated in a chair with palmss resting on the knees; at a greater kan and li retreat I had the experience of having the sensation of my physical body completely dissolving in this position. I personally prefer the rooting into the earth, and connection…[Read more]

The argument against lotus position I have heard is that it does not allow the K-1 bubbling springs to be in contact with the earth, thereby cutting off the entire legs from earth qi and causing it to enter the body through the perineum in a raw and unrefined form. It goes against the idea that humans were designed to be the mediators between…[Read more]

I would like to check out your practice of the wudang arts. I have been to china to visit Huashan, and a few other places but mainly for meditation on those trips M.Winn organized.
The martial form I am currently practicing is knwon by a few names and is actually a daoist art; Bei Kuen roughly translates as “Mysterious fist”, also known in…[Read more]

Greetings,
I also live in Vancouver. Who do you train Taiji with? I have done taiji and bagua with Liang Shou yu and Victor Fu, also Diane Kehoe, but am currently studying something else (Bei Kuen), and have done michael’s alchemy for five years.
Speaking of extreme diets, I lived on wheat, wheatgrass and clay only for three years, and…[Read more]

Bagua,
The basic issue I have with your use of language is that you are glossing over large areas and making very general statements (“Taoists don’t split life like this”-which daoists are you referring to??????? every single one that has existed???).
It is true that all levels of jing-qi-shen-wu exist now (whatever “NOW” means because they…[Read more]

Greetings Fajin,
I think we are running into terminology problems (“grounding”, “internal to external” and what exactly those denote and in what context).
The importance of the earth element is that the chinese daoist cosmology is one of the only in world traditional cultures that places the earth in the center of the elements as opposed to…[Read more]

Greetings Bagua,
I have to say that I find your use of language and position not very clear; one moment you are saying that Winn’s method is to draw the external (celestial) energies inside the body, and the next that the in the view of “Most masters of the past”, the Dan tien is the portal to the internal nature as I originally stated above.…[Read more]

Michael teaches that the Daoist “Heavens” (simultaneous formless vibrational frequencies) are not to be found outside the body, but can be accessed by the portals formed through the kan and li practices INSIDE the body. According to this traditional cosmological model there is no need to seek the celestial energies “outside” the body as that is…[Read more]

Max,
You are being condescending and making judgements about others again. I have been practicing daoist alchemy for more than five years, and can safely say that it is the EXPERIENCE of the inner process that is why I keep practicing, not because of an idealized view of where I think I will end up, or what it should be like.

You appear to speak english quite well, is it just because I will not agree with your point of view that you dropped out of the discussion?
