I was just at a live workshop with M. Chia, and he had an endocrinologist/urologist/hormone doctor give several long talks. Ironically, one of the items he strongly recommended that men buy and use (to remedy and prevent prostate issues), is this Aneros device.
I’ve never used it myself, so I can’t specifically recommend. But I suspect it is…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Rooting in cities, buildings, floors in the forum Practice 8 years, 4 months ago
Yes.
Because everything is connected to the earth.
Unless you are on an airplane, whatever you are standing on, this object is stacked up from the ground, and thus becomes an extension of the ground. So rooting should not be affected.
However, if you are in a building, there may be electrical wiring, other apartments with tenants, etc. .…[Read more]

I have.
It can be used in the same way as DHQ, by casting forward your intention at the very outset of the practice, perhaps with intentional and meditational time preceding it, to empower it more.
I agree with qtface’s comments; they are good ones.

Make sure to give the elder child some time, just with him . . . so he doesn’t feel like he lost that.
As to the extra jealousy, if he’s old enough, teach him the LIVER sound SSSSHHHH, to release that from the liver. It’s tied in with anger, frustration, envy, stress, etc., all different variants of liver’s unpleasant emotions.
So, in…[Read more]

Just catching up from having been away on retreats . . .
It’s great to hear about everybody’s experiences.
This is real-world stuff and where all the practices get applied. And as many of you have shared, there is a spiraling back action that occurs now-and-then with the practice, often returning back to the fundamentals/grounding. But…[Read more]

I’m sure Michael is familiar with these.
He looks into other areas all the time, looking to see if he can find any kind of overlap or similarity, and uses that–both as validation of the Daoist views, and as an argument of “Healing Tao alchemy is superior, because we have a more complete map”, i.e. sales pitch stuff. For me, as I’ve said…[Read more]

Mostly this relates to the Inner Smile, which does radiate via the soul a level of unconditional acceptance to the heart-mind (body). However, excepting this meditation, the rest of the material leading all the way up through Greatest Kan & Li is just working with the heart-mind. It’s not until Star Alchemy that you even do anything on the level…[Read more]

>>>By any context, the “Soul” is a fusuon of Taoist jing and shien,

What you define as “overself”, I would simply define as the soul (“ling”). This is to be differentiated from the aspect of the soul (that most people mistake for the soul), which is the heart-mind (“xin”). All this stuff involving vital organ spirits, ego, personality, “who we think of as me”, that is all the heart-mind (“xin”). The ling is…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic 8 extras and detox? in the forum Practice 8 years, 5 months ago
It’s true that you are getting some activation with the bridge and regulator channels when you do DEP. However, it is not likely to create a detox reaction unless you overdo it. The reason is that qi from the Earth is very stabilizing. Moreover, the earth is where you want your toxic qi to go to. Consequently, as qi from the Earth comes in, if…[Read more]

Exactly.
One never outgrows the need for the foundational material.
10, 20, 30, years and more down the road, you will still get benefit from the Inner Smile, Six Healing Sounds, Microcosmic Orbit, and Grounding Practices. They are a useful support system. Stuff will always come up; it is the nature of life.S

Hi elephant,
It sounds to me like you have a lot of toxic junk buried deep within your 8 Extra channel network. This isn’t unusual, and in fact, most people have this. In fact, most people have A LOT of this. You can work on the 8 Extra channel network for years and still find stuff, because you are going deep into the infrastructure.…[Read more]

While I agree with some of what Michael says–namely the skin cell analogy–I don’t agree with all of it.
To me it is a ridiculous concept that those children “chose” that life path, to be murdered. No one chooses that, not even on some higher unconscious wish level. Even if we accept that on a higher level, there is no fear about the death…[Read more]

Life is creative chaos.
Nothing is predestined and planned, just an aggregate collection of random independent events motivated by a general drive to be creative and explore.Smiling, is only about accepting both one’s own place in all of this, as well as acceptance of the outer circumstances, however they manifest. It is simply a means to be…[Read more]

From a lot of training I got at my Zen Buddhist school:
“No self” doesn’t mean that one doesn’t exist; instead, it means there is no permanent fixed independent autonomous existence beneath the surface. I.E. no permanent fixed immutable entity that we can give a name to, because whatever we would name as “self” will have dissolved into…[Read more]

Of course, the “direct contact” that you mention I’ve not had personal experience with. To date, while I’ve had many spiritual high-level conscious-expanding downloads, I’ve never gotten any insight into anything beyond this life.
As of now–in that area–all I have are a myriad of wonderful, but…[Read more]
