To any and all of our sister practitioners who may be playing wall flower, reading but not writing. Say hello, tell us about your practice, post a question.
We don’t bite and are always in need of the the feminine perspective.
Peace
Michael
P.S. Yoda, breath 50 times w/ counting, post how long it took, then write a new short practice Friday.

OOww, the blood slowly seeps back causing needles and pin pricks in my ‘sleeping’ calves and feet.
Two more days til its someone else’s turn to come up with a practice. Sea creature, how are you doing?
Peace

Dear Mr. Fuk,
Actually I’m slimming down nicely. Doing an easy sets of pushup and squats when I wake up, when I get home from work, and before bed. Just easy sets and I find squatting with my feet flat feels better then ‘furey’ variety. I’m also doing isometrics against the driving wheel in the car.
It was never really a beer belly, those…[Read more]

Your choice. I kinda like the idea of timing the count though. For example, this morning driving to work, it took me 10 minutes to count to 100. So 50 breaths in 10 minutes, a 12 second breath cycle.
Thats so so, but I’d like to see it take much longer, say 15 or 20 minutes, without forcing. In Aikido we’d do a formal breathing exercise…[Read more]

I’m no expert, but I do know that drugs can light up your brains pleasure centers, and leave a void when they’re stopped.
You know what, this too shall pass. You feel empty and down now, understand and believe it will pass. Focus on that better future and see if you can make positive plans that will get you feeling better.
For example,…[Read more]

The only persons whose eyes I can really stare into from a few inches is my 6 year old daughters. (unfortunatley it freaks out my wife) You can see her pupils expanding and contracting at the speed of her thoughts.
You can see how her eyes mirror the surroundings.
Peace

I’ve been influenced by Trunks Fab 4. I’ve been doing Ocean breathing to deep squatting movements. I’ve stopped going all the way down so I end up on my toes. I’m only taking it as far as I can with feet squaire on the ground. It feels better on my knees.

The exchange of ideas, the linkage between people. I’ve learned quite a bit from the people here, not just on taoist techniques and thoughts but the whole spectrum of human inactivity, good bad and ugly.
