Medical and Spiritual Qigong (Chi Kung)
Any suggestions on how to regain the grounding I once had?
Gradually. Don’t focus on where you want to be, or you’ll create dissatisfaction and lose the moment.
Be aware of the grounding you have, however small it be. Peer and wriggle into it. get ever more aware of how it is. Wiggle your toes.
Act like it’s no issue at all.
And whatever smart technical stuff people tell you, too.
G’luck,

Michael Winn wouldn’t do baguas for the first two years of his fusion practice because he thought they were artificial and complicated. But they turned up inside him anyway after a while, he says.
I never quite “got” fusion, I think because I was very mental and not too embodied. Still working on that and will be back to it.
See what happens. You can always do it and leave bits out.
Good luck,

it’s very hard to say stuff in type and be sure it sounds right. But here goes:
You have been wanting to stop smoking. Other stuff hasn’t worked so you got this. This might work. It might , horribly enough, be exactly what you asked for.
You could use this to stop, or you could gradually accustom yourself to fear and sadness and get stuck to the point where you need something even more drastic to open a door for you.
Feel sadness physically. Dispassionately. Until you can physically feel the goodness of the general pulse of life aroud and within it.
Small steps. You won’t get happiness from outside you. In any way.
Be nice to yourself. Massage your own skin, your own body. Be nice to your lungs and your kidneys. Cherish yourself.
Good luck,
I
