if you want to work on your middle tan tien I suggest having a child or two. It is wonderful, and depending on how you make money they may not take that much time from practice especially if your partner is into cultivation as well. I think it is easier getting to the oneness of a relationship if there is a child. Also you can bathe your…[Read more]

Fajin,
Great links thanks. I don’t practice tumo although I am facinated with it. I think I’ll find a balanced version of it here in the alchemy, an with the help given at alchemicaltaoism I see the connection between the tantric and taoist. I respect the Tibetans a lot but I don’t want to enter into that kind of student teacher…[Read more]

Fajin,
Thanks for the post. Can you steer me to a specific title in Erle’s many works? I have done some fajin work with my yang style teacher, but I need to expand. Thnaks

from the wording of the question it sounded like IO had asked after reading a bit of steiner. Hey IO, did you ask after reaing Steiner?

lamont replied to the topic Is there a Guardian of the Threshold on the Dao path? in the forum Philosophy 18 years, 10 months ago
Rudolf Steiner talks a lot about the guardian of the threshold and pretty much says that if you don’t encounter it in your path then your path is not complete. In my estimation the po soul is like the lesser guardian of the threshold. The lesser guardian is the shadow objectively encountered as an image and mirror of what needs to be overcome in…[Read more]

Gunther is probably too busy now that he is cerified, by Tolle himself, in the trendy Power of Now process and is active in the Aspen Co area.

I had Richard Grossinger as a college prof at a small school in Vermont in the seventies. I am sure that he has long since distanced himself also.
I have notice that a few who declare that there is no self or that there is only the Self, and clain that they are egoless, have big egos. -

Baba,
I wonder how it would have been if you spent proportionately longer in concentrating on the dan tien and its relevant points, than on those in the head and upper front of the body. Possibly you would have had the dan tien as the foundation of the MO a lot sooner.

I think you’re right. I see how that could be a full time job. I think though that their own actions are spells, and we can all read the writing (spelling) that will bounce back. wasn’t there something in there about by their fruits ye shall know them. That’s the beauty of the system.

I find the form taught at classicaltaichi.com to be great for teaching internal movement in tai chi. Master Hwa teaches how the dan tien itslef moves physically to generate the tai ch moves. He is incredibly clear on the difference of waist and hip movement as well as dilineating yin and yang in every move. It is a mdeium and small frame form

Tapes cost $ to produce and the logistics for retreats take a lot of work and business acumen and I am glad that Micheal is there to do that. He is a great and creative practioner, and humorous teacher. The humor alone is a sign of his healthy approach to the Tao. We wouldn’t have access to the teaching without someone like him.
