If you do the inner smile and healing sounds in creative cycle then you already do some kind of fusion. Trying harder is not a good idea in my opinion, more you try less you get, let it happen, be softer.
Do you do some moving practice, like Wu Ji gong … it may help you with your sitting practices a lot.
I like to begin with ocean breathing and then switch it in to the counterforce breathing. I also like to add some visualizations, like inhaling gold light and exhaling murky old sick chi … and after some time just golden light in and out … 😉

If anyone interested to research different approaches, Eric Yudelove theaches fusion in his Taoist Yoga and Sexual energy book and there is also variation of Fusion of eight trigrams meditation in Daoist internal alchemy book by Jerry Alan Jonson.
There is also variation of Fusion I learned from Barry, as he says it is more physical.
It would be interesting to disscus this variations here.

I have gone trough some weird stuff recently too. It kicked out at autumn last year. It looked as various health issues …, but now it seems cleared up slowly.
Working with the organs and 8 extras dig out some buried stuff “down” there …
