Sorry I didn’t see your post earlier.
Care to share what happened?
Whether you quit smoking or not, that’s not the important part.
The important part is whether you learned something new and interesting about yourself. 🙂Maybe I’ll wait for you to share before I comment further.

The Nei Jing Tu picture that you show is discussed in some detail in the book by David Twicken “Eight Extraordinary Channels: Qi Jing Ba Mai”. You may consider picking up a copy.

As c-howdy mentions, this was discussed before, but just to repeat:
Yes, there are a lot of advocates of drinking urine in the HT community.
In fact, even Master Chia does this practice (you can see him drinking a glass of urine in his Cosmic Detox) book. Advocates say that it promotes saving of some hormones and vitamins, and drinking urine…[Read more] -

Very inspirational video.
If only it were so simple . . .
In fact, I would say the proposed solution that one could mistakenly pick up on in this video is unfortunately part of the underlying problem.
Let me explain . .
The problem is, is that every individual is caught in one’s own issues, which create a sense of fear and…[Read more]

Yeah, I think it clear that many ancient civilizations were more advanced than today’s population gives them credit for.
Moreover, if we take today’s society, driven by fast-paced frenetic workholism, one has to wonder if this is so incredibly more intelligent than the more relaxed, less caffeinated approach of our ancestors. In some ways, I…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic grounding site in the forum General 10 years, 1 month ago
Yeah, and it is so easy to tell if the ground has been recently contaminated with near microscopic organisms by some other animal, by migration, or by whatever other means. Think about it. If nearly 10% of the world’s population has it, it is not entirely rare. That’s just hookworm, which is only one such type of parasite. But if you are…[Read more]

On Walter’s original “Radiant Hand Body Activation Method” DVD, Walter is doing qigong . . . so it is unclear what was “created” by Michael exactly. There is a lot of qigong out there, and practitioners borrow from each other all the time, so it is often hard to pinpoint the exact source. If you change something by 10%, it is someone else’s or…[Read more]

There are so many people that get excited about this and say it is a good thing.
Forgive me, if I don’t jump on board this ship.Soil can contain parasites that can burrow through your barefeet and create a systemic infection. The most common are hookworms and strongyloides. The latter is a particularly persistent infection, difficult to…[Read more]

It requires using the power of discernment–examining all evidence with an open but skeptical mind–and trying to discern what is merely an opinion vs. some core idea. Ultimately, you have to let your own intuition be your guide. It has to come from your gut . . . your core. If you are trying to seek truth via knowledge you are already at a…[Read more]

I know Walter used to sell a DVD called “Radiant Hand Body Activation Method”, and it was effectively Ocean Breathing. Later Walter marketed it *as* Ocean Breathing. I assumed that Michael had renamed it, since it was clear they were communicating . . . but maybe the name was collaboratively decided. Here is more history: Ocean Breathing…[Read more]

You start facing east.
You turn left at each stage.
After turning left 3 times, you are facing south and have completed one round of the Earth cycle. Then start the Heaven cycle and keep turning left until reaching south again. Then start the next cycle of Earth turning left 3 times until reaching west, etc. -

There is not consistency in the classic literature.
The Neijing (Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Chinese Medicine) does not single out the right kidney as the mingmen . . . the later different text–the Nanjing–does (which is where the quote Livia Kohn is using comes from). However, strangely enough the same Nanjing also puts the Door of Life…[Read more]

Steven replied to the topic Questions about pain possibly from practice in the forum Practice 10 years, 2 months ago
No, just focus on sending qi down deep into the Earth.
Then let the qi naturally rise up of its own accord; it knows where it needs to go. The qi will rise up easily; it is the sinking down into the earth and having your consciousness on this that is the important part. Focusing on the actual cycle makes everything too mental, which is exactly…[Read more] -

The Tao is the natural embodiment of change and of what is.
Lack of self-acceptance is an underlying resistance to what is.
Give up this resistance, and you come into harmony with the Tao.S

I would say that all physical body qigong is grounding to some extent, because it gets you into your body and out of your head. I don’t think that Riding the Cosmic Horse is necessarily more than what you get from other qigong . . . maybe slightly more, due to the repeated dropping of the heels, but it is not like Deep Earth Pulsing.
